Aaliyah Dana Haaughton soared to notoriety after she released her first album Age Ain't Nothing but a Number in 1994. The singer was barely 15 when the album became Gold. This collaboration was highly influenced by R. Kelly, and helped put her in the spotlight. In 1996, she released her sophomore album One In A Million with Jermaine dupri and Timbaland. The album featured the top-selling track If Your Girl only knew. After the debut of the album Aaliyah won international acclaim for her performance as an R&B singer. Aaliyah was a part of the famous martial artist Jet-Li Romeo Must Die (2000) which was an action-packed romantic film. Her role came about following an interview with film producer Joel Silver at an awards event. She was in 2002 when she appeared as in the Anne Rice-based movie about horror Queen of the Damned. The Matrix Sequels saw her playing Zee and appeared on The Matrix Reloaded (2003) and The Matrix Revolutions that same year. She received four nominations for the Grammy Awards, including 1999, 2001 and 2002. Aarti Mann.....................Aarti Mann also known as Aarti Majumdar is an American actor who is best known for her portrayal of Priya Koothrappali in the popular TV series The Big Bang Theory. Aarti Mann is an Indian American of the first generation born in Connecticut. Mann is her stage name. It is an abbreviation for Mankad her surname when she married. She uses Aarti Man as well as Aarti Mahumdar as her official name. Though she started her career in film and TV with a few minor parts, her acting career started to gain speed in the late 2000s. In addition, she has appeared on Leverage, Suits, Grey's Anatomy as well as Grey's Anatomy. The commercials she has done have been for prominent brands like Volvo. She continues her acting career with her home in Los Angeles, where she lives with her husband and daughter.
