She was a Mexican American who brought the two worlds in a unique way. In the same way that there are many who mourn a superstar who passed away too young, her death was not a good time and ended the progress of her career. The result is that fans are enthused over time to dig and work harder to make sure her accomplishments are not forgotten. The death of Selena triggered emotion in Latino society that could be similar in a way to Elvis Presley, and John Lennon. Selena was a hugely well-known singer for Latinos across North America. But her music touched both the young and the old. A flamboyant sexy stage performer often referred to as the Latina Madonna Selena was nonetheless seen as a role model Off-stage, she was also a family oriented actively involved in anti-drug campaigning and AIDS awareness programs.
