Avery Sunshine
Avery Sunshine has a unique style which combines R&B with soul, gospel music, and R&B. She's performed on Broadway as well as in the Democratic National Convention and in European festivals and clubs. Sunshine is a name that she has given her was Denise White. Though she's located in Atlanta, her roots are in Chester Pennsylvania. There she started to pursue an interest in music, as a singer and pianist at church. After graduation from Spellman College, Atlanta she began her musical journey on Atlanta's R&B music scene. The Fighting Temptations The first single featuring her voice was Stalk You a house 12 issued only in Japan; it was later remixed by numerous producers and is a staple of her live sets. Her voice has also been a part of vocals for The Fighting Temptations' soundtrack. In 2005, she was commissioned to be the main keyboardist for Tyler Perry's stage production Meet the Browns. In 2007 Grammy and Tony Award-winning vocalist Jennifer Holliday sought her out to become the choral director for the stage production of Dreamgirls in the National Black Arts Festival in Atlanta. Sunshine gained attention during the four daily performances of The 2008 Democratic National Convention. Sunshine sang during Barack Obama's Inauguration in 2009.
